Tempted To Cut Your Fat Off?

I was looking through my site analytics recently and I discovered a guy who found my page by typing in to google “I’m a guy and am tempted to cut my fat off.”

I got a chuckle out of it as I think every true fatty has thought this at one time or another. I know I have. We would never do it of course but this illustrates the frustration we have with our weight. This angst of desperation building up inside, wanting more out of life.

Chad’s Yogurt Thingy and a Free Food Item

So in this new year’s resolution venture to lose weight, I have discovered an enjoyable and cheap dish that is easy to make. I remember when I was eating with very poor habits…… I should remember because it was as recent as last week sheesh. One common thing I would do is get yogurt parfaits from either Mickey D’s or Starbucks. It was a healthier alternative during the wreckage sessions but always seemed overpriced for what it was. So when I went shopping I ended up discovering - shockingly - it was overpriced for what it was and so I purchased the ingredients to make my own simple home made parfait.

It is soooo simple it is stupid….but sometimes we need reminding that simple alternatives are a matter of follow through. So I followed through with my Yogurt Thingy with the following agonizingly simple but very enjoyable recipe…. if you could technically call it that.

6 oz. of Light Vanilla Yogurt

Fruit of your choice

1/2 cup of grape nuts

1 tablespoon of honey (optional)

I like to slice up a banana or use some frozen berries. (You can always pop a little amount of frozen berries in the microwave briefly to aid in thawing them out just a little bit.

Instructions:

1.) Mix all your ingredients in a bowl and grab a spoon cause your done.

The great thing about this dish is its versatility. You can switch up your fruits and yogurt flavors for inventive new versions of the dish all the time. So you never find yourself bored.

Hope you enjoy as much as I do. And with my new journey with being on the road to health I end this reminding you what I am reminding myself often….. Portion control…… too much of a good thing can be a bad thing so don’t fool yourself with rationalization. Eat healthy by eating lighter portions – which is my weakness.

Free Food Item:

So I am doing better but find myself still wanting more food as I reform my poor habits. As a result I have run into a nice alternative when you just want some more food when your struggling with portion control. Sugar Free Jello! Jello is free. I got a whole tray of portioned sized jello cups and they are 10 calories each and no sugar. So if I am still hungry I can enjoy some jello. Thank you Bill Cosby!

JELLO IS FREE. WHOO!!!!

I am starting simple because my education in eating healthy and exercising is simple. So if you’re coming along for the journey as well…… let’s grow and learn together. Happy New Year! It is going to be a great one.
